Topic One: The Tough Question- Third Assignment: Open Project Title: Life's Patches Christina Bernadotte, 2018 (22 x 24 in.) Summary: For the open project assignment, I created a piece called "Life's Patches". This piece symbolizes my path, present, and future goals that I have accomplished or will accomplish. I wanted to represent something not necessarily unfinished, but rather something to be discovered. I feel my life revolves around my personal blanket as we grow more opportunities will be given that will be stitched into my blanket. For instance, if you look closely at the patches one display the painting of "Frida" by Romero Britto was a gift given to me by the artist after I completed my internship in his studio. That experience was an amazing opportunity because my mentor Paula (also one of the patches with the word BBBS which stands for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Miami) pushed me to show my sketchbook...
