Topic Five: Narration (Tarot Card) Tarot Card  Morning Coffee       Summary: I was assigned to create an image based on a paratactical phrase that I choose during class which is by the past, the food moment, and the future. I created a full-color image of a food moment depicted from the paratactical phrase in my own style and the size requirement was 5x7 inches. I used gouache, graphite, and micro pens to create this piece. My practical phrase portrays the espresso of the coffee being stirred in the morning. In this piece, I established the stirring of the spoon in the coffee to reveal the image of the sun being swirls and in the background represents the intensity of rays from sun correlating to being energized by having a sip of coffee in the morning. Topic Four: Landscape-Ambitious (In-Depth Assignment) Nature's Competition 3D Model In-class performance Video part 1 Video part 2 Summary:    For the landscape ambitious in-depth assignment, I created a piece called "Nature's Competition". This piece symbolizes natural selection and survival of the fittest. I wanted to illustrate the concept of plants and the human form of competition. I choose the sunflowers to depict people passage of competing in their long life. Moreover, sunflowers show the bonds between two people, as represented by the strong and upright stem seeking out positivity and strength, as the bloom turns to face the sun. With this in mind, I wanted to the path human take to get to success. Telling Stories (Narrative) What Is Comics Poetry: An Essay By Alexander Rothman Marion Fayolle    Marion Fayolle work from the example in Rothman essay was quite interesting with the placement visual language images without words. I'm able to perceive from the action the sequence of events occurring through the panels starting with the desire for an image through an association between shapes and words. It shows a narration through the strategic deployment of a visual image to represent the happening exploring through time. I really admire the visual images showcasing the action of the character.

Topic Four: Landscape, Outside Visit #2 PAMM (Pérez Art Museum Miami) Exhibition:  Christo and Jeanne-Claude: Surrounded Islands, Biscayne Bay, Greater Miami, Florida, 1980–83 | A Documentary Exhibition  Summary: The experience of a quite longer viewing of a show changes my perception of the exhibition overall because I was able to comprehend the development of the cultural history of the islands situated in Biscayne Bay and how they extend out from each island into the bay with showcasing various materials and the process they underwent. I wished a can view longer to analyze each piece in the exhibit, but I was tight on timing and manage to see a few.

Topic Four: Landscape-Representation, Intervention, and Body-as-Site (Outside Visit #1: Garden) Miami Beach Botanical Garden Selfie  The Native Garden Reflection: The Native Garden contains pathways and densely planted shrubs, trees and palms. Some plants and trees attract plenty of wildlife pollinators, especially in urban environments. Some plants and trees provide food for birds and nectar for butterflies. Moreover, the Native Garden exhibits foliage and flowerless plants, but are significant to ecosystem health.  Japanese Garden Reflection: The Japanese Garden display a small pond and bamboo plantings giving prominence to the bright red bridge and stone lantern sculptures. The Garden highlights the vibrant culture and the surroundings and waterscape create a natural boundary for smaller gatherings, ensuring privacy and serenity.
