Topic Four: Landscape, Outside Visit #2 PAMM (Pérez Art Museum Miami) Exhibition:  Christo and Jeanne-Claude: Surrounded Islands, Biscayne Bay, Greater Miami, Florida, 1980–83 | A Documentary Exhibition  Summary: The experience of a quite longer viewing of a show changes my perception of the exhibition overall because I was able to comprehend the development of the cultural history of the islands situated in Biscayne Bay and how they extend out from each island into the bay with showcasing various materials and the process they underwent. I wished a can view longer to analyze each piece in the exhibit, but I was tight on timing and manage to see a few.

Topic Four: Landscape-Representation, Intervention, and Body-as-Site (Outside Visit #1: Garden) Miami Beach Botanical Garden Selfie  The Native Garden Reflection: The Native Garden contains pathways and densely planted shrubs, trees and palms. Some plants and trees attract plenty of wildlife pollinators, especially in urban environments. Some plants and trees provide food for birds and nectar for butterflies. Moreover, the Native Garden exhibits foliage and flowerless plants, but are significant to ecosystem health.  Japanese Garden Reflection: The Japanese Garden display a small pond and bamboo plantings giving prominence to the bright red bridge and stone lantern sculptures. The Garden highlights the vibrant culture and the surroundings and waterscape create a natural boundary for smaller gatherings, ensuring privacy and serenity.

Landscape-Representation, Intervention, and Body-as-Site (Assignment #1: Street or Garden) Street View       11x14 inches       Christina Bernadotte, 2018 Step 1: 30 minutes of notetaking  30 minutes of sketches    I begin my process by choosing a street view by walking steadily down the street to capture the sight of a particular area I fondly appreciate and that presents the area in the frontal aspect of certain viewpoint furthering into a view of various trees and houses distancing in the background. I very familiar with the street and my neighbors kindly allow me to sit and draw this area. I wrote everything sensory that came to mind for 30 minutes and sketch for 30 minutes. This area is very still and brings a sense of relaxation.   Step 2:    After performing step 1, I use my information listed from above to make an imaginary creation. I wanted to showcase the soothing effect of th...

Topic Three: Rhinoceros, Part Three Portrait/Propaganda (Ambitious/In-Depth Assignment) Part A: Portrait Part B: Propaganda Reflection: After creating this two-part assignment I feel rather quite contrasting. I decided to use Jeff Bezos for this assignment. On Part A of the portrait, I acquired knowledgeable feedback on the technical inaccuracy. I decided to use a black sharpie to clarify the demeanor of his sharpness as a businessman. I had difficulties deciphering the tint of shadows and placement of the background. On Part B of the propaganda, I felt I manage to grasp the concept finer. In this piece, I displayed Jeff Bezos is egocentric driven him into the insanity of the substantial load of the destruction of stores and people losing their jobs. In the piece, I place an Amazon package to serve as a representation of the success of Amazon gleefully mocking to replacing the store. Also, I chose the color choices of gold and green to symbolize his stature of be...

Topic Three: Rhinoceros, Part Two (Assignment #1: Creature/Other) Creature #2: Other #2: Reflection:    After creating two pieces depicted from the text, my results were quite distinguished from those of my classmates. For the creature drawing, I decided to attempt creature #2. I felt creature #2 would be challenging and broader in term of leaving one's imagination to deliberate the characteristics of the creature. I found the creature to be grueling to sort out. As I started I seem to understand the traits like the defense mechanism of the red ink and physical trait of being five inches, yellowish, and purple veins. I didn't grasp the full concept and interpreted the creature in a different way. In class, I realize the creature is the display a sea slug. I reread the text and it made sense of the accurate description of a sea slug. For my other, I decided to execute other #2. This piece seemed quite easy to showcase. I read carefully to capture the deta...
